Ministerious Musings

By , February 26, 2016

Dear Friends,

As you no doubt know, I will be away on sabbatical for the months of March and April. There is no end to my gratitude for this extended period of rest and renewal during which I will travel for a month in Italy.

From March 1 to March 31 Nick and I will be traveling to Rome, Venice, Florence, and Sicily with one short side trip to Lyon, France, to see our goddaughter and her family. We plan to visit many sacred spaces including cathedrals, and to attempt a connection with the very few Italian Unitarian Universalists.

In April I’ll visit Unitarian Universalist congregations in Providence (there are 3 UU congregations in Providence) and East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and I will be the guest speaker at the First Universalist Parish of Chester, Vermont on April 24th. Additionally I plan to learn how to use the features of my computer for creating slide shows and other things to enhance our worship experience.

While I’m gone you’re going to hear from our neighboring ministers, the Reverends Jim Robinson, Tim House, Steve Cook, Dick Fewkes, Richard Trudeau and Paul Sprecher, as well as Matt Meyer and our very own DRE, Tej. I know you’ll enjoy the variety of viewpoints & preaching styles they will bring to you.

Again, I thank you for this sabbatical, and look forward to seeing you on May Day Until then – ciao!
