Soul Matters

Our Soul Matters group, launched in September, is growing and remains open to all interested! Many of us come to spiritual communities seeking ways of connecting and sharing on more intimate levels. The Soul Matters small group ministry curriculum is used broadly by many Unitarian Universalist congregations to explore spiritual themes creatively and in depth on a monthly basis. This year’s curriculum also is working with themes pertinent to the national conversation about our UU values. Rev. Michelle facilitates group meetings throughout this year twice a month after the Sunday service from 12:30 – 1:30 PM after worship and coffee hour. Snacks will be provided!

For dates and theme for the month, visit the Happening at First Parish page on this website.

Each person attending receives a booklet related to the theme for the month with a wealth of spiritual exercises and content, ranging from readings and poetry to music to suggested activities to engage on your own. Social Justice and Spirituality Film Conversations

The inaugural Social Justice and Spirituality Film Conversation successfully launched in September with the viewing of a film about ecological justice! People present said we should show that particular film again because it was so informative and inspiring, and that we should also we have a potluck focused on learning about vegetarian and vegan eating options, which we definitely will plan in the future!

For the date and the film title for the month, visit the Happening at First Parish page on this website.
