As we enter this particular 2026 Pride Month, Rev. Michelle considers the admonishment of ‘Ruby’ to her in a nursing home many years ago and the ‘queerness’ of her challenge to ‘be a decent human being.’ We’ll reflect on the history of the evolution of Pride Month, and significant dates commemorated in June, while also considering the added strength and courage needed in publicly claiming pride these times.
