May 31 – Transformative Interdependence: a gift from the UU Urban Ministry

By , April 13, 2026

10:30 AM [Zoom option available]

Led by Rev. Stephen Shick, Guest Minister

Interdependence, one of our core UU values, can help us define our UU faith in the power of Love and help move us toward a more just and peaceful world. Too often, we confine our use of “interdependence” to climate justice issues and overlook its deeper connection with economic and social justice. Reflecting on and supporting the work of the UUUM gives us the opportunity to understand the transformative power of interdependence in our own lives and the lives of others.

BIO: The Rev. Stephen Shick is Minister Emeritus of the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson and a long-time supporter of UUUM. Professionally, he has been a local peace activist, a national radio broadcaster, a parish minister, and the founding director of two national Unitarian Universalist peace and social justice programs. He is the author of three books: Be the Change: Poems, Prayers and Meditations for Peacemakers and Justice Seekers, Consider the Lilies, and Speaking by Heart: The Spiritual Practice of Unscripted Public Speaking.
